| Mothers Day is usually hard for me even though from my heart I wish all mothers a happy day and many more to come.My spirits are lifted this time around, because my lil sista yes the baby is no longer a medical student she is Ashley Jackson MD MS(Medical Doctor/Master Science) She has a masters in molecular genetics also.Yall my mom died?she never?got the chance to see Ash graduate college, and?get her masters go on to medical school.Our dad died before she got her masters and the tradgedy of their deaths as well as other reletives did not detour Ashley and we was going through it!!!She honored every course.I'm happy because I know my parents are proud of her Im so overjoyed Im bragging to yall like yall grew up with us ?Maybe some of you did.If so you remember our Rasta Fari influenced house our family rockin dreds before they became a fashion statement and Ashleys' bad ass :) I set so many bad examples for her thankfully none rubbed off.She has wittnessed my most elaborate fuck ups and the look in her eyes never changed absolutly no judgement absolutly 100% my back up and guess what absolutly my biggest fan yea!!We are many years apart and she has somewhat become like a daughter since our mom died 9years feels like 9 seconds swear on everything!!!We hear so much bad news Im just happy to share some of my good news with you.I would also like to shout?out a?few?young sistas Dr Kinetra Brooks on recently getting her PHD,and Ashley and Brandy Hudderson who are on the way to earning their PHD's shortly Im shouting them cause they from the hood they love their communities and they still ghetto fab like teedy Mia!Im usually curled?in bed from about now until next week sometime repeating this cycle around Fathers Day as well.Not this year Dr. Ashley graduates next week and im on cloud 9!The pain doesnt stop it'll just give you a break once and a while.Our mom was everything to us, and we worked to make her proud because she sacraficed unselfishly loved us unconditionally and believe me i was the child who tested those conditions.She held our confidence up and our feet planted to the ground and we miss her soooooooooo much.Even though today isn't 'the?day' Give the moms a hug and a kiss and the confirmation of your love no matter what.Secure the bond and hold the relationship you have with her near and dear to your heart.I would give anything to have what I have lost again.But i know she is watching us and she is so proud of her baby girl.My peeps focus on ya focus and make them dreams tangible I love yall and thanks for listening.I love you Dr Ashley The death our our parents our beloved grandma the deaths of our uncles, them hoes katrina and rita took everything from you sent you miles away and?your class rooms were waiting with not an ounce of sympathy and still you rise congradulations. |
