| I am one pissed-off mother.?Here are the emails I have sent recently to Washington DC.?I sent the first one to Rep. Mike Conaway a couple of weeks ago:
"I am the mother of one son currently serving in Iraq and another son who will deploy this year.?I am absolutely horrified that the Democrats are going to sacrifice my sons and make the sacrifices already made be in vain for nothing more than political gain and nothing less than to show their hatred of President Bush."I am so outraged--to the point of tears--at Murtha, Pelosi, Clinton and their band of wienies that I have to make my voice heard.?I cannot believe these people refuse to see the big picture.?Congressman, I am asking you to tell me what we can do about this."The next day I got a form-letter email from him and fired this one back:
"How can I get a personal reply from you??Yesterday I emailed you and got a form-letter reply that did not address my concerns.?I have one son currently in Iraq in the Army and another son training at Ft. Stewart for his 18-month deployment to Baghdad starting later this year."I believe I deserve a personal reply from you.?My sons are personally serving our country and I am personally worried that the Democrats are going to cost my sons their lives."Rep. Conaway called me from Washington a few days later.??Today some of my worst fears began to be realized.?The House of Representatives passed a bill today that calls for an August 2008 deadline for troop withdrawal.?They know that President Bush will not sign the bill so they added the war money to it.?If Bush doesn't sign it, which he won't?[Bush has honor], the troops on the ground MY SONS will pay the price.?I believe we should finish the mission.?Here is what I sent to Nancy Pelosi, the Slut..er..Speaker of the House:
"I am the mother of two soldiers--one currently in Iraq; the other is deploying to Baghdad in July.?I burst into tears just now hearing how you and your ilk are undermining the troops, INCLUDING MY SONS, by passing a bill that will delay necessary funding to the boots on the ground.THOSE ARE MY TWO SONS WHO ARE GOING TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF YOUR SHORT-SIGHTED ACTIONS.?In my view, you are intent on showing the world how much you hate President Bush, and you don't seem to care that my sons will pay the price.?Ms. Pelosi, do you care to explain yourself to me??I honestly don't understand." |
