| I've been officially part of the workforce again since yesterday and it's working out splendidly thus far.I haven't actually done any work as yet as I'm still in a training course which at this stage is an introduction to the company...what they're about, their policies, etc. I'm pretty happy with everything I'm hearing so far...and they even had us watch the DVD of An Inconvenient Truth this afternoon, which was pretty impressive on their part.I get a really good vibe about the place and I hope that feeling continues.I get along well with the other new guys and gals too, which is pretty cool.I wasn't nervous at all on the first day.I slept reasonably okay the night before and when the alarm went off in the morning, it was as if I hadn't had a break at all.Got back into the old routine very easily and headed off to work.I found the place okay and a woman I met at my interview spotted me and beckoned me over to where she was having a coffee, so there was no awkward hanging around like the first day at a new school.A few more people joined us and it was like we'd all known each other for ages.It just felt 'right' from the moment I woke up.Anyway, not much more to report at this stage. We'll be at a hotel for the rest of the week doing the induction stuff and I assume it'll get more hands on next week or so.We've all been invited to a party they're having Thursday evening at the new premises they recently moved to, so that should be enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who sent me 'good luck' messages on the day and since then.I really do appreciate being in your thoughts.I'll keep you all posted. |
