| the list of chores michael and i?are hoping?and are working to accomplish is coming along beautifully.?my girls (shannon, alissa and irene) came over yesterday.?when they arrived, i was pressure washing chairs.?(my school has offered us use of their chairs, but they are so, so, so dirty...?so each weekend, we bring home ten or so, and clean them up.eventually, we will clean all we need...)once i ran out of gas, i joined them for lunch and visiting.?eventually, i mentioned that i needed help with a few jobs, and they said, "give us a tour!?what do you need?"?i didn't expect them to pitch right in!!!?i was only showing them areas i needed assistance with, before the wedding.?i can't do somethings myself, and i sure don't want to add more to michael's work load.??however, ?they all jumped right in and started helping!?they moved furniture, stacked cds, sorted toys and even washed walls...??these girls were amazing.?my heart is so full.?i am so fortunate to have such love around me.?they really made a difference!before and after their visit, michael and i accomplished a lot, too.?one of the most?fantastic chores that got done, was pressure washing the house.?this was done in preparation to paint the house next weekend.??we noticed recently that the house looked really shabby, so we made plans to wash one weekend, and paint the next.?so michael got started this morning.??i hung out with him.i sat on the lawn, drinking coffee...?and the more i watched, the more ?i?felt jealous.?as i watched how?much filth flew off the walls and gutters, and how easily the house became gorgeous once again, i wanted to do it, too.?it looked so satisfying.?when he was done, we realized that the house does not need to be painted, it was just plain dirty.?whooo hooo! |
| whooo hooo!another lovely detail...?i need to have my gown hemmed, as?it is too long.?but before i can go in to have the measurements taken, i need to have the right shoes.?height matters when hemming...?well, i have looked high and low for the right shoes.?i have gone to at least ten different stores in person, and ten online.?i have found lovely shoes, but i WILL NOT spend over $35.?so that really limits my searching.so i found a pair that would DO, for only $19.99.?i bought them without trying them on, as i was exhausted from working.?so, i tried them on this weekend, and they just weren't gonna do.?my feet are too narrow to stay put.?i can't be slip sliding around in these shoes.?so they are going back to the store.?luckily for me, i happened to try them on while irene was visiting.irene told me she had a pair of white heels, that she felt would be perfect.?(we wear the same size.)?so i went to her apartment this afternoon, and she was right!?they are absolutely perfect!?i wore them for an hour, and they feel fine!?they are the shoes i wanted, but could not afford.?i feel so blessed tonight!something old,
something new,
something borrowed,
something blue...well now, ?the new and the borrowed are taken care of...and we don't have to paint like we thought we would!???it's all good! |
