| Ok I'm not holding anything against Mike, he kept the car straight didn't hit anything and finished where he started.This race should have never happened, we should have loaded up and gone home.Thompson pulled a bone headed move and let the mods run in the rain, I've never seen so many cars get torn up maybe half the field came out with some kind of damage.Then we pulled the pt cart onto pit road, its still raining *not pouring just enough to be sure its raining* we get set up I climb on up to the top of the cart and tell Mike he should make a lap and park it, He says he'll stick it out for a while and if it gets worse he'll come in..I thought this was a bit risky but we still needed to figure things out.So he ran and for a while he was looking a bit racey getting ready to pass another fast car but they had more motor then us so he pulled him down the straight.(a little nudge and you would have owned that 36 car).Then it starts raining harder, the caution comes out because there is a car racing around on fire, yes the 1M was on fire. |
| Then it starts raining harder, the caution comes out because there is a car racing around on fire, yes the 1M was on fire.So they pit him and send him back out, he catches fire again two more times after that.they put the field under caution for heavy rain, mind you these cars have no tread on the tires.They are asking track officials what its like around the track, who keep saying its not bad, then they ask a few crew chiefs who both say its raining.Thompson in their infanite wisedom says fine pull the pace car in and leave them under caution for some faster caution laps so they won't lose the track.All the pro stock guys did an amazing job keeping the cars out of the fence, it wasn't a great race, but they did really well for what they had, next time we'll get some treaded tires like they have in F1.The new motor is ready to go on the Dyno today, and we'll have it in before Saturday for the 75 Lap Pass race.I'll be up on that box calling him down against some of the best drivers in the area with a stout fresh motor, and a very fast car, I think we'll be turning some heads. |
