| some of you may or may not know the band "Snot" which ended in 1998 with the tragic death of its lead singer Lynne Straight and his dog Dobbs (Dobbs was also the cover model for Snot's album: Get Some) Lynne was killed in a car accident"in the beginning stages of recording their second album",Now I'm not a huge Snot fan, I'm more of a fan after the fact.The artists formerlyknown wasMike and Amy were (and are) huge Snot fans and I learned of the band through them.I was digging through my dvds the other day when I found my promo dvd for the "Straight up" album - a posthumous tribute to Lynn.My favorite song and video from the album is "Angels son" which features many of Lynn's freinds, his girlfriend and his mom sitting around a bon fire while Sevendust sings one of the most haunting songs I have ever heard.When you watch the video you really get pulled in by the sight of "Lynn and Dobbs" (portrayed by an actor and an actor dog) walking through the group touching each of his friends..and your heart will break as he comes up behind his mom.Touching.Beautiful. |
