| The Academy 0f Motion Picture Arts and and Sciences should probably retire.I just saw the Movie 'There Will Be Blood'.....which should really be called the Daniel Day Lewis Show.??Granted, Daniel Day Lewis is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful?actor, but come on!??I just spent well over 2 hours watching him act like a heartless, souless b*st*rd.??He was mean and miserable throughout the entire picture.At one point he reveals that he hates people.?WOW, What a Deep?Reveation!No Kidding!?(Sarcasm, I'm rolling my eyes) He pretty much was dripping with distain for his fellow man throughout.?I've read?other reviews, and yes, the majority of them find this flick utterly brilliant.??And I'm clueless as to why.?I found it slow paced...litterally.... at one point I found my eyes shutting and could feel myself drifting away into the land of nod only to jolt myself awake and pay attention.?Oh I didn't miss anything, he was still mean, foul tempered, nasty?and miserable...nothing changed.??The co-stars were actually?pretty good and interesting, but the focus on them was only minimal.?When the movie ended and?the lights came in?I literally burts out laughing.?My husband was just shaking his head in disbelief that we paid full price for those tickets.....Yeah, we definitely could have waited for it to come out on TV. |
