| So another season comes to a close -
We had knock down drag out fights, at one point or another everyone was on someone's last nerve.It wasn't our best season (although the points say otherwise) We worked hard, we got a new motor, ran about half the races and the very last race we got the car right.This season was one race after another trying to dial in a car that was nearly perfect when we started.We worked hard, we learned more this season then we did in any of the previous seasons.We learned I have a bit of a temper when dealing with incompetent track officials.Peter has an untapped skill of scaring the hell out of young hispanic boys that pose as tech officials.We learned even Mike isn't perfect (he smashed a set of lights out of the trailer) We learned that the modifieds are the premier division at Thompson, and if they need help they will get it. |
| We learned even Mike isn't perfect (he smashed a set of lights out of the trailer) We learned that the modifieds are the premier division at Thompson, and if they need help they will get it.(wrecked cars in a heat race got added on to another divisions feature to make sure things worked for them) We also learned if you are in the top 5 you represent the entire division.We had a chance to start on the pole of the heat race, when we were turning the fastest laps of the season, but the top 5 guys complained that they didn't want to come from the back to the front.We finished 12th in points, which is far better then last season.We could have done better, we had too many DNF's?and that is a point killer.a motor problem, and overheating problem, and a wreck .
I was not ready to end this season, especially with the car being so close to on the money.Unfortunately time, and funds will not allow us any further races this season. |
| Unfortunately time, and funds will not allow us any further races this season.Perhaps next season we will have better sponsorship, and run a full season.Hopefully blue will be finished in the offseason, and we will run the money races next season.Thanks to the crew for the help, we have our parts down to a science and that helps to build on.If we're not chasing stupid problems every week we can concentrate on the task at hand of making the car better.Great 07 Season boys and girls, and thanks for all the help, we couldn't do this without you. |
