Saturday a great day for Theatre at PJC |
| Saturday, May 10, tomorrow as I write this, is the annual FCCAA Theatre conference.?This is the first time PJC has hosted such an event for theatre, and I am very proud to have arranged it.?Unfortunately, it also comes when I am eyebrow deep in M*A*S*H and THE KOREAN WAR MEMORY PROJECT, which I refer to as "PJC Remembers the Forgotten War," no matter what anybody else calls it.?I am also completely mentally and physically exhausted, as the semester just ended Wednesday, a day and a half ago.?Whew!If you are a PJC student who has been in a play, or taken a theatre class, or just love the Music & Theatre Dept. and want to support our students, please come join us.Breakfast and orientation is at 9.?Then the students will have time alone to get together and know each other, talk about your experiences in your respective schools, without teachers around.?A great way to make contacts for your future, because these are your contemporaries and you may end up meeting them in the professional world one day in the future.Then at 11, we will begin our performances.?Each school gets a half hour each.?Performing to represent PJC:

That will probably be at least our whole half hour.?We may get more time, if the other schools don't bring as many students, so we may even have more perform!Awesome!PJC Theatre majors (and if there are left overs, others as well) get a free breakfast and a free lunch.?Lunch is at noon.Don is catering it for us, we have food for 35, and it is going to be awesome.Spread the word, and if you are a PJC Theatre student, definitely be there.? |
