| Kitamura has passed.?Last night wasn't our best as our energy was down and it had been raining.?It seemed everyone was there-- Nick B, Brittney, Jim Johnson, Greg and Julie, Sarah, Abby, Caleb, and a whole lot more.?Nick said the show was "surprisingly good" in his way.?Greg said I was the best part, but then Greg is nice like that.?But the best compliment came from Mel, who arived close to two hours early:
Me: So what did you think?Mel: That wasn't you.Me: Is... that a good thing?Mel: A very good thing. So I guess I really can act.?But, all told, I had a lot of fun.?I am going to miss the show.?However, I knew it was going to be a good show.?When I pulled up to Pauls, they played Roxette on the radio.?They rarely do that.?Sure, it's the same song they usually play, but as my favorite group I take notice whenever they get airtime.?When I hear them, I feel this is a sign of luck.Sadly, afterwards, it was off to the grind and an all nighter studying for my Jewish American Lit final.?I read until my eyes bled.?And that wasn't enough.?She wanted another essay, then the test turned out to be matching names with descriptions or lines.?All names.?Arrg!?Still, I think I did okay.?I made an A on my oral and an 93 on my research paper.?I'm still tired for the lack of sleep. Then I had to make a phone call.?Julie wanted me to call someone regarding commencement.?I got some good and bad news.?The bad part is that I am confirmed graduating Magna Cum Laude.?The good part... is something I'm keeping to myself.?It's real just a big deal for the parents, she said.?Which I guess is true...I told my dad the news.?He broke down and cried.?I've never seen him do that.?I mean, I've seen him cry when he was upset or sad, but never like this, out of happiness.?Not even for my brother's graduation.?I guess that hit him now too.Got an hour of sleep before Lysistrata auditions.?It was a last minute thing for me...I've written about it before.?But I hadn't planned on it before.?So I threw something together at the last minute.?As I drove up to the school, guess what they played on the radio??That's right... another Roxette.?So now I couldn't back out.And I'm glad I didn't.?Even if I don't get a part, I'm glad I auditioned.?I had a lot of fun.Afterward, guess what??Another Roxette.?They must really love me on the radio.Late Nite Pie with Jon and Richard.?Caught him up on some stuff.?Then... randomly she showed up...Reesa!?It was like just a perfect meeting that you never would have expected to happen.?She came with her cast and we joined them and talked random theatre things.?She told us the super secret hidden truth of the theatre. And now I'm here writing.?I need sleep.?And more days like these. |
