Petco...if you do not have kids yet, someday |
| Today I picked up my daughter at her father's house and took her to the Petco in Pelham...mostly with the intent of going to Target, and since she has a betta fish, two dwarf hamsters and a dog, there is always a reason to go to Petco.Anyway...she was walking around and I was walking around and eventually we ended up in the aisle with the hamsters.My daughter stopped in front of one of the aquariums and pointed to the hamster and said "Oh, how cute..." and then "look momma...it's pregnant".Well, I could not help BUT look...the hamsters in Petco are generally babies, so the idea that one was pregnant was odd to me. When I looked...I realized it was not that the hamster was pregnant (and it should not be, because it was also in the male cage), but that it was in fact a male hamster with the largest set of balls I have ever seen on a hamster...not that I spend a lot of time checking out rodents, but sheesh, how was I supposed to explain THAT to her??? |
