| I just had a phone call that really irked me.?It was a solicitation for a donation to a homeless vet charity and I agree to send $15.?When I mentioned I had a son in Iraq right now the "lady" said, "They need to bring the troops home."?I said, "They'll be home soon enough."?(Hell, I wasn't expecting to have to debate a libtard.)She said, "No, I mean right now; I don't agree with the war."?I said, "I want them to come home as soon as they finish the job."?She said, "No, Iraq is just another Vietnam and they need to bring the troops home now."?I wanted to say, "Fuck you, you ignorant liberal asshole."?She kept saying things like that and I didn't argue further because I just wanted to get off the phone.???That ignorant bitch doesn't realize that the Vietnam War would have been won if the liberals had not sabotaged the military, just like they are trying to do now in Iraq.?And she's even more ignorant to think that an Army mom would want the troops to come home regardless of the fallout--which would mean that 4,000+ casualties were for nothing.?THE ARMY DOESN'T DO ANYTHING HALF-ASSED.???All the blood, sweat, and tears shed by our troops in their valiant efforts to make the Iraqis self-sufficient and, more importantly, to defeat the insurgents, who are the most evil people on earth, is for the noblest purpose of all.???You know the trite saying, "what would Jesus do?"?I can tell you right now that He would NOT bring our troops home "right now"?and willingly and purposefully leave the Iraqi people vulnerable in the hands of evil.???(As I write this blog I have just received a call from the homeless vet charity apologizing for what the "lady" said.?BTW, I had still planned on sending the $15 regardless.) |
