On Christmas: The Coming Darkness. |
| It would seem it is that time of year again, a time of celebration and wonderment, a time of hope and of joy, a time of presents and eggnog.But all is not well in the land of America, yes, there is a most horrible evil lurching in the shadows, waiting for its time to strike.It hungers for the flesh of the innocent, the flesh of children and, most importantly, the flesh of trees.Yes, I speak of course of consumerism, the most terrible thing to happen to christmas and, if I may be so bold, the universe.Do you remember that thing about Ear Wigs?They don't even touch money in the evil department.It can make a family war against eachother for years upon years.It turns brother against brother, sister against sister, and dog against master.And there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it.you just have to sit back and let money laugh at you behind your back, walking around like it owns the place.Although, in one respect, money is also Darwins Theory Of Evolution set to a different light.As I have already pointed out before, Humans are having trouble evolving because of modern technology doing all of the work for them, and cannot devolop new ways to further the species natually.This is where money comes in, as humans have no way of deciding a pack leader based on strength or intelligence anymore, we have nothing more to decide upon but wealth.Of course, people who are rich are recurrently evil in most respects, so it really all falls down to luck who makes a ton of money.This is why I think people watch reality shows, everyones hope that people with a good heart get rich will transfer into television because that know that no matter how hard they try, they will never, ever, get someone competent to run our lives.And it's all a little like Christmas, now that I think about it.You see, Christmas is all about how we are all going to die, awful, lonely deaths.But it's kind of, sort of okay, because with what little money our satanic overlords give us we can bestow a few good things to eachother, like...You know what?Nevermind all that, we're totally screwed and there's nothing we can do about it. |
