| If you have NETFLIX and high speed Internet and you don't know about this feature yet, you are missing out.It's great and seems to get better all the time and it is free with any of the Netflix unlimited movie plans ($16.99 a month and up I believe).Netflix instant viewing allows you to watch movies and television shows on your Computer instantly.If you have Netflix just click the Browse Instant tab at the top of the screen.Now there are not a lot of brand new movies, so this in and of itself maty not be a reason to get Netflix, but there is tons of great stuff.Especially if you like television series.I have watched Dead Like Me, The A-Team, Addams Family, News Radio (one of the funniest sitcoms ever), Battle Star Galactica (The complete Original Epic series), Penn and Tellers Bullshit (Just season 4&5 so far), Faulty Towers, Doctor Who, Sliders, Tripping the Rift, The Office (Both the BBC and American Versions), Heroes and Dexter.Plus there are several thousand movies in every category.Pan's Labyrinth, Clockwork Orange, 2001 A Space Odessey, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Street Car Named Desire and just thousands of other great films.Lots of great documentaries, animated shows and childrens shows too. |
| Lots of great documentaries, animated shows and childrens shows too.I like it better then cable TV and it is a hell of a lot cheaper.If your internet connection is fast you see these films in extremely high quality.The only problem I might see for some is watching on a computer monitor.Hard to relax, sit back and watch a movie on a monitor.Well, if you have a good video card in your computer you don't have too.Most people don't know this but if your video card has and S-Video out and your TV has an S-Video in you can use the TV as a monitor, and most cards with S-Video will actually support both a regular monitor and a TV at the same time.The best way to work a system like this is to add a wireless keyboard and mouse.You just drag and drop the windows you want to see on the TV over to that screen, it works great.It's cool, if you have Netflix, check it out! |
