Tonight/today a good amount of faggotry was afoot.We had to stay throwing freight until 2:00 AM.We're supposed to get off at midnight.All the Department heads we're there to help us tonight and the store manager.The store manager tells all the DH's (Department Heads) They must stay until all freight is put up.At 11:30 the electrical DH left, 12:30ish the hardware DH leaves.Also, 2 freight associates didn't come in leaving us with 6 freight members to cover the whole store's frieght plus the DH's.Oh but wait, one freight member left leaving us with 5 freight members.This may seem like more than enough to do everything, but seriously it's not.I tell my supervisor at 1:00 that I'm leaving at 2:00 one way or another.If I wanted to job throwing freight until 2 I would have stayed at kroger.?Well 2;00 rolls around and I tell my superviser I need to leave and he replies "We all need to.".I helped push some stuff to the back, then I see one of the other frieght associates still has a SHIT TON of stuff he needs to put up with the order picker and I got pissed and put up my apron and clocked out at 2:15, found a key carrier(other than my suoerviser) to let me out.I came across the Graden DH, Shannon, and told him to please let me out, I don't care whats left, it's breaking a federal law to keep me here any longer your breaking a federal law.He followed me to the door and told me "Sorry."In the midst of all this, for those of you didn't know already, my Grandfather passed away Monday, It finally started hitting me he's really gone, everything I still wanted to ask him I can't, everything I wanted to do with him I can't.It also occured to me in about 36 hours I'm going to be one of four people carrying his coffin to bury it, I had to keep relieving myself to the restroom because I was getting "sick".I played it off by telling everyone I was making hershy kisses when I kept coming back.Anyways, Before I got my Grandfather's service tomorrow night in Richardson I'm going up to Home Depot and demanding my old position back from the Human Resources Manager.All diplomacy and formality between me and Home Depot are dead, they're giving me old position as a cashier.lot loader back or I'm not working there anymore.Hell I'll even go back to 8.25 from 9.00 an hour.If a 75 cent paycut means my happiness then so be it.At least MSI is coming May 14th. |
