| I'm anti-international-whatever-days.Let me explain why taking this "special"?date as an example.?No, I really don't have to explain.I myself would like to get some explanation.Why must we celebrate and international day for half of the world's population?When do we celebrate the international day of the other half?Is it not more alienating for that half that has an international day to have it?Aren't we emphasising differences instead of promoting equalty when we celebrate people just because they were born one or another sex?Some feminists might protest and say that men do not have an international day because the rest of the days of the year are men's day...but that would be just too sexist. |
| Some feminists might protest and say that men do not have an international day because the rest of the days of the year are men's day...but that would be just too sexist.I think that this need to have a day to celebrate the random genetical fact that you were born with some chromosom combination different than the other half of the people is absurd but it comes from the fact that there is no equalty between human beings.If women were not considered sub-human, pseudo-human, quasi-human or non-human at all in many parts of the world and in many different societies there would not be an ?International Women's day.It's a true paradox and a sexist idea to promote feminism, as sexist as promoting machism is...Why don't we make everyday the International HUMAN's day and?put an??end to?bigotry, racism, war, poverty and injustice.What am I thinking?Can't I see this is the REAL world?Hey, Cris, why can't you be a normal girl? |
