I am working on it, honest! |
| Songs, in the pipeline, with much exciteness and cheer. There is guitar and singing and perhaps some mandolin and whistle and whatever else I can lay my hands on that won't sound like I'm torturing it.Mandolin is my new favourite thing, thanks in the most part?to the unbelievably lovely Tweeds for lending me her spare. She is much, much?better at it than I am.The idea is to get around the thing I normally blame on these?blogs by getting some recording snazz for Christmas and really get down to it.Of course, "recording snazz" could well mean anything more hi-tec than a video camera or cheap eBay microphone... but I am a student, and affording things is tough. |
| Of course, "recording snazz" could well mean anything more hi-tec than a video camera or cheap eBay microphone... but I am a student, and affording things is tough.(Please ignore the fact that I just spent about 100 on music from HMV and Amazon...)Nevertheless the good news I have quite a lot of songs idea-ed and some are even now properly write-ed, and a few even (dare I say it) perfected. The main issue now is finding the confidence to perform them somewhere that won't be too critical and/or filled with roaring drunk students looking for someone to hurl their pint glasses at.My advice to you this week?is: go up lighthouses, run like hell from burning tar barrels and force yourself at least once to experience some experimental cello. It might be worth it?just to look at?the boy serving tea in the interval. |
