How to entertain an (American) Guest? |
| So it is exactly 94 days until Mandy and Jesse's Mom lands in the UK in London - literally only 40 minutes from us!Isn't that super cool!It is 96 days until I get to meet her - not sure how I will cope with that - her being here for 2 days but not being about to go say hello - but I am sure I can supervise the missus cleaning her bedroom or some suchSo our official meeting is on the 6th August - Ooooooooooo I will be 6 years old 1 month and 4 days - CAN YOU SENSE THE EXCITEMENT?!!!Anyway I think I am actually going to be going up to central London to meet her - that means on the train (never been to central London before) and we have a little bit of a secret mission going on for a few hours but it's a secret ...... so I have to keep it hushedThis is what victoria station looks like - the one I will be travelling to from home to meet DAnd it is right opposite And i mean right opposite - you fall out of victoria and you land in the witches - SUPER COOL!Anyway thats enough of that - it is about 25 minutes on the train to central London and I am sure I will have a lovely day and then D is coming back to our house so I can show her my garden and the pesky squirrelsBut I know there is a huge cultural difference - I mean we speak totally different languages ;)I want to make a really good impression. So can you please suggest how to entertain an American? What tricks should I do?What food should I make? What things should I say? What should I come dressed as?Thank youI am real nervous! |
