| Ok..so yesterday was my Birthday.??All in all it was a good day.?I turned 33.?It is strange to think that I am the same age Jesus was when he died... and 2 years from now I will have outlived my dad who died at 35.???I spent all of last week frantically filling a last minute order from the Saint Louis Zoo who opened a new anamatronic dinosaur exhibit (that opened on my birthday - how cool!).??http://www.stlzoo.org/home/featurednews/dinoroarus.htm
While I don't sell anything animatronic, they did buy a lot of small casts of skulls, claws and teeth for the exhibit tables.?So I made a little money, and scored free tickets...They also had one of those 3D movies "Escape from T.rex Island" which was also a motion simulator.?Liz was very impressed.?So it rained all day (pretty hard after this picture) so we headed to the Saint Louis Art Museum."Sir.. |
| "Sir..please don't fondle the statues..."For a girl who lives in a house full of human and animal bones, Liz was surprisingly creeped out by this African mask which is a real human skull with clay sculpted over it - and has real human hair and real human eye lashes.Not the most exciting Mummy I've seen..but hey...???I had the opportunity to study a real mummy when I worked at a museum several years back.?It was unwrapped, and we x-rayed it and put one of those tiny cameras inside it.?Fun fun fun.?This is why people are cremated I guess.And last here is a picture of Eric pretending to be a Stegosaurus.?More happened that night, that none of you are old enough to hear about :)
