| Okay, so to preface the following news, I'll set the balance in motion by saying that I'm sick.?All those all-nighters, hard study, and Kitamura performances finally caught up to me and my immune system crashed.?I'm just glad it lasted this long-- past Lysi auditions.?My voice is shot now, and my throat feels like razors.?I'm working my best to get better, but it's going to be hard.Let's start off the news train with last night.?Elizabeth gave me the heads up that the Lysi cast list was up.?At the time, I was getting out of dinner with Dad (we had gator) and I rushed to the theatre.?And there it was...I'm the commisioner!?I mean... wow.?Seriously.?I totally thought my audition was a travesty, and my only saving grace was that we did call backs that night.?But with this cast and Jenna at the helm, I think this show is totally gonna rock!Mom and Ted got in around 10 or 11 last night.?They were going to be staying at Grampa's place since he is in the hospital and that place is way closer to the school.?Problem is...Grandpa is in the hospital, and he doesn't have direct payment on his bills.?Like the electricity or phone.?We're getting it fixed tonight hopefully.I ended up staying up all night getting ready for commencement since it was so early and we didn't want to miss out.?I got as spiffed as possible, piled into the car, and zoomed off to my destiny.I'll go ahead and say what my honor was now... remember, I mentioned I had a special honor that made all that other stuff not so bad??Well, guess what??I graduated with the highest GPA in Theatre for this class, which meant I got to be the banner bearer.?That meant carrying our lime green flag and getting to be seated on stage with the Platform Party.?Yay!You might want to know who was there.?Okay...The first person I saw was Kevin, followed by Brittney, then Sara Jo, McKay, April, Amy, Julia, and making a grand entrance at the last minute-- Roland.?I think there was a couple more, but I forgot who.?That's terrible of me, sorry.?Others who were graduating but didn't show where Braden Hunt (who knew?), Sara Patterson (I thought she already graduated), and Kriste Tujague (but then she misses everything else, why not this?).?I'm sure there were more, but those were who were in the program.I will say the program did not go off without a hitch.?I not sure what they announced my name as the first time.?I know the Dean mangled all three names, but I stopped listening after he said Nichole.(dead serious-- in front of everyone).?When I got my fake degree, at least Dr. Berger got Nicholas right.It was a wonderful ceremony.?I can understand why some people do it every time.?Even Wallace got into it-- he gave us a great intro!It doesn't sound like it, but I'm uber-ecstatic about all this.?But I'm also sick.Tomorrow, Kita strike.?And sleep!With summer coming up, I'm going to have a ton of free time.?I'll be using a lot of it for my writing.?What I'm hoping is that I can steer my blog away from the doom-and-gloom stuff and daily recaps and go back to the phylosophical, contemplative stuff.?Hopefully.?We'll see, won't we? |
