| A gentleman from Amanda Righetti's PR company contacted me last night regarding the rumours that are circulating online that she is no longer involved in FRIDAY THE 13TH."We've run into a problem with a misconception that has been going around that Amanda is not the lead of the film and/or has been replaced as the lead by actress Danielle Panabaker," he stated, something which we addressed last week.It seems that various sites have claimed that Ms. Righetti is no longer involved, with The Hollywood Reporter saying, "Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the female lead in the new "Friday the 13th" film."Cinematical added, "Just when we thought we knew who would be battling Jason Voorhees, along comes a new female foe for the hockey-masked serial killer.Recently we reported that Amanda Righetti was in "final negotations" to star in the new version of Friday the 13th, to be directed by Marcus Nispel.Well, something went awry in those negotiations, because The Hollywood Reporter now says that Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the female lead."Ms. Righetti's representative has asked me to clear things up once and for all regarding her casting.It was revealed earlier this month that Ms. Panabaker would be playing the role of Jenna (who is not the 'final girl'), and both are currently filming their roles in Austin, Texas.He also hinted at a possible chance of an interview with Amanda next week, which would give me a chance to find out more.We'll keep you posted... |
