| my kitty is sick.?he has lost weight, looks scrawny, and has coughed and sneezed recently.?so my daughter, alissa took him to the vet.?he was originally hers.?she found him in the ivy, at jim's house.?she brought him home in autumn 2001, as a tiny baby.?he was as big as a beenie baby toy.?i remember that, as he played with one i had, and they were the same size (without his tail).actually, alissa?soon brought home two more kitties, olivia (found on a busy street in the rain), and emma (left in a kennel with no return owner) at the same time period.?and?at the time, one more kitty was in the mix, dillan.?he belonged to chris, my roomie.?four kittens at the same time was pure entertainment, for sure.well dillon passed away at only two years old.?he had kidney cancer.?he sure got ripped off for a long life!?that was so sad.?danny and dillon were such good buddies.?ever since dillon passed, for the last five years, danny has kinda been a cranky guy to the remaining kitties.?he has missed his buddy.danny is?our lap cat and a cuddler.?he is persistant about getting into our laps every single morning.?lately, even more so.when you live with someone, or something, sometimes you can't see their growth or demise.?alissa came over recently and said, "danny looks like crap."? |
| alissa came over recently and said, "danny looks like crap."?i started looking more carefully, and soon agreed.?he looks thinner, and his hair is thin as well.?i noticed he was scratching alot.?then i noticed that he coughed and sneezed.alissa has worked at cat hospitals for many years, and has much knowledge.?so she scooped danny up today and took him in for an appointment.?he was a good boy.poor danny has feline aids.?this is not transmittable to any one except another feline (cat).?it is caught by transmitting bodily fluids (fighting, scratching, eating out of another's bowl).?he has shared food bowls?with the other kitties, olivia and emma, so they now must be tested.?this sucks.?i love danny.?he is a great "pretend dog."?he is such a sweetie.he follows us in the yard just like a doggy might.?we have no plan to put him down yet.?if the "girls" are infected already, we will just incubate this final time of their lives...?if only danny has this, and we can vaccinate the girls into a "safe place,"?and we will continue keeping danny safe and comfortable.this is so sad.?i love this little cat man.? |
