: The Downtown Sacramento Partnership is hosting a downtown photo contest.Michael Azevedo at the Center for Contemporary arts suggested that your organization might be a good partner in sharing this information with the local photography community.CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS: Downtown Photo ContestThe Downtown Sacramento Partnership is looking for local photographers to participate in a Downtown Photo Contest.Submit a photo that illustrates your favorite reason to be downtown for a chance to have your photo and byline featured in the 2009 Downtown Calendar and be eligible to win a Downtown prize package (value at $50).The purpose of the downtown photo contest is to showcase Downtown Sacramentos best assets and to promote Downtown as a vibrant regional destination for entertainment, culture and commerce.Photos should capture quintessential downtown experiences, events and places.Winning photos will be published in the Downtown Sacramento Partnerships 2009 calendar.The theme of this years calendar will highlight Top 12 Reasons to Be Downtown.Photographers are invited to submit original photos of their favorite reasons to be Downtown.The top 12 photos will be selected by a panel of judges in September and will appear in the Downtown Sacramento Partnerships 2009 calendar.Deadline to submit photos is September 8, 2008.For contest entry forms and rules, email
