Bill Clinton needs to chill |
| "I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two?people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country."Those were the words of former U.S. president Bill Clinton when speaking about the possibility of his wife, Hillary, being nominated as the democratic party?s pick to go against John McCain for the presidency during a speech in Charlotte, N.C.
Clearly, he is saying that if Barak Obama wins the nomination, he would be the person who doesn?t love his country or have its best interest in mind.He went on to say "And people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics."Hillary Clinton?s spokesman, Phil Singer, said Bill Clinton was simply trying to talk about the importance of issues, rather than questioning any candidates?patriotism.Bill Clinton didn?t help in South Carolina and he definitely isn?t helping now.During Al Gore?s bid for the presidency, there were many questions raised concerning why Al Gore didn?t have Bill Clinton stump for him...I think we have our answer. |
