| Hello Artists!I?ve just finished reading The Artist?s Way by Julia Cameron.It?s a must read for any genre of artist at any skill level.With in the book she lays out many insightful recommendations, habits, exercises, and activities for artists to try.She also challenges many misconceptions that artists hold about viewing themselves as creative creatures.She approaches creativity as a spiritual (not religious) practice that we channel as artists.It is recommended in the book that readers form groups, or "Creative Clusters" which meet on a weekly basis in order to get more out of the activities and to be held accountable to one another for support.I would like to facilitate one such "Creative Cluster" in Midtown Sacramento.Creative Clusters are FREE to join and attend.It is a safe support system for artists to explore creativity with spiritual (not religious) insight.The book takes 12 weeks to complete 12 chapters of exercises.For more information on The Artist?s Way, please visit The weather is getting nicer, so I am thinking that we can meet at McKinley Park, on Alhambra Blvd. between E & H streets.If the weather is bad, I have plenty of space at my house in West Sacramento, 4 miles from midtown.So if you are interested in the experience, please let me know.Thanks!Jennifer Keller |
